Game Developers Coice Awards 2011

　米サンフランシスコにて開催中の 「Game Developers Conference 2011」。 3月3日（日本時間）には開発者によって選出される「Game Developers Coice Awards（GDCアワード）」の授賞式が行われ、RockStar Gamesの「レッド・デッド・リデンプション」がゲーム・オブ・ザ・イヤーに輝いたほか、インディーズゲームながら「Minecraft」がイノベーション・アワードなど3部門で最優秀賞を獲得し注目を集めました。

Minecraft が受賞したのは以下の3部門。

• Best Debut Game（新規タイトル賞）：「Minecraft」（Mojang）
• Innovation Award（イノベーション賞）：「Minecraft」（Mojang）
• Best Downloadable Game（ダウンロードゲーム賞）：「Minecraft」（Mojang）

　『レッド・デッド・リデンプション』 (Rockstar San Diego)に次ぐ3部門制覇というのはインディーズゲームとしては異例といっていいだろう。また日本の作品は一つも受賞がなかった。
