Watch the Pocket Edition devs go on a spooky journey
Hello!
Unless you’ve been hiding under a cobblestone block for the past few weeks, you’ll be aware that redstone is coming to Minecraft: Pocket Edition and the Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta in the near future.
Redstone is a bit like Minecraft’s version of electrical circuitry. Though you can already make amazing builds in Minecraft: Pocket Edition and for Windows 10, redstone will provide opportunity to create actual devices, like rollercoasters, automated doors, and mob grinders. Players of the Java version of Minecraft have been using redstone for a long time now, and they’ve made things that even the cleverest of clever brains at Mojang couldn’t have predicted.
To show off just a few of the things that are possible with redstone, Shoghi and Daniel have taken on a spooky map created by our friends in Redmond, and recorded the results for your viewing pleasure. Watch the video below. Please be nice in the comments.
The scariest time of the year is almost upon us! Aside from Minecon, Halloween is the only times that the average person will respect your need to roam the streets dressed as your favourite Minecraft mob. Sad but true.
In true Minecraft tradition, we’ve created a themed skin pack for Minecraft on Windows 10 and Minecraft: Pocket Edition to celebrate. But we’ve done something special this time around. This year’s pack is more about dressing up as your favourite mob – it’s kinda like your Minecraft avatar is about to head out for a trick or treating session, just like you might do on October 30th.
I think this is one of the most creative skin packs we’ve done so far. I hope you enjoy it too!
There are 15 skins in total, and it costs a $0.99 or equivalent. And, hey – even if you don’t download the whole thing everyone can download the Iron Golem and Zombie costumes for free.
Here’s the full list of skins included: Cow costume, Creeper costume, Enderman costume, Ghast costume, Iron Golem costume, Mooshroom Costume, Ocelot costume, Pig costume, Pink sheep costume, Rainbow sheep costume, Skeleton costume, Snow golem costume, Spider costume, Zombie costume.
UPDATE: this is actually changelog 0.12.0.1 not 0.12.1.0! Blame our silly number bot (who has now been recycled) for any confusion. The patch also includes x86/32-bit support, which wasn’t mentioned in our earlier post.
We’ve released a new version of Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Beta to improve functionality and fix some reported bugs & crashes.
以前少し Mojang からお知らせがあった Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition のベータ版が登場したというお報せ。既にPC版のユーザーの場合は無料で手に入れられる。

Hello!
Windows 10 – Microsoft’s shiny new operating system – launches tomorrow. As announced at MINECON 2015 a few weeks ago it features a brand-new Edition of Minecraft. We’re calling it Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta.
If you’re one of the 20 million(ish) players who already own Minecraft for PC/Mac, you get the new version for free. Completely free!
To download your copy, first log into your Mojang account (My password is significantly more complex than those dots so don’t bother trying, criminal person).
Next, click the “Redeem” button on your account page, sign into your Microsoft account, and follow the instructions that follow. That’s it! You’ll be playing Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta in a jiffy.
Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta will be available to download in the Windows 10 Store.
Have fun with Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta, kind crafters! And enjoy fiddling about with your swanky new operating system!

Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta
Hello!
We have exciting news to share! A whole new version of Minecraft is on its way. This time, it’s for Windows 10 – Microsoft’s new swanky operating system that’s due for release on July 29th.
We’re calling it Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta.
Just like the first release of Minecraft all those years ago, this version will develop and evolve over time with the help of your feedback. That’s why it has “Beta” in the title – because it’s not quite finished, and will become even more fun over time. Just like the other versions of Minecraft, all future updates will be free. We spoil you. We really do.
If you’re one of the 20 million(!) players who have the PC edition of Minecraft (referred to by techy people as the Java version) you’ll be able to download Windows 10 Edition Beta from the Windows 10 store for free. Other players can get it for the paltry price of $10 during the beta period (the length of which is still being decided).
Minecraft is available on Windows, Mac, Windows Phone, iOS, Android, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, and now, Windows 10. Not every version of Minecraft is exactly the same, but they all feature two distinct game modes – Creative and Survival – that cater to different types of players. All versions of Minecraft support multiplayer.
You’ll recognise some Pocket Edition features in Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta, along with potpourri of cool extras. Here are some highlights:
Craft, create, and explore online with up to seven friends playing Windows 10 Edition Beta, through local multiplayer or with your Xbox Live friends online.
Play online and local multiplayer with other Pocket Edition players thanks to a free update, due to arrive soon after launch.
Multiple control schemes! Switch between controller, touch, and keyboard controls with little to no effort!
Record and share gameplay highlights with built-in GameDVR.
Help shape the future of Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta with our built player feedback mechanisms!
Chickens, zombies, pigs, boats, armed skeletons, potatoes, zombies, baby squids, enchantment tables, villagers, naked sheep, iron golems, potions, ghasts, pickaxes, carrots, and all the weird and wonderful goodness you’ve come to expect from Minecraft.
We hope you’re as excited as us for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta. It’s gonna be cool!
Thanks for reading!
