It’s been a while since the last snapshot, hope you didn’t miss us too much. We’ve been working a whole bunch on lots of internal rewriting (for plugin API, to make things easier for ourselves and to make things run so much more smoothly) but a lot of that isn’t in this version as it’s fairly unstable.
Notable changes:
New highly customisable terrain generation! (Create new world -> “World Type: Customized”)
New customisable world borders! Check out the /worldborder command.
Lots of bug fixes, performance gains and code cleaninguperizing.
The stream is over, but we’ll be embedding it on Mojang.com along with footage of the 0.9.0 update soon. Thanks for watching everyone!
Happy Monday everyone.
Today’s the day of the Pocket Edition panel! As I mentioned last week, the Minecraft: Pocket Edition developers will be taking questions from this reddit thread and answering them LIVE on air. There’s still time to submit your questions, so over there and get inquisitive.
It’s all in celebration of us reaching 20 million sales last week. We’ve actually reached 21 million to-date, but that’s not as catchy a milestone, so let’s roll with the 20 million for now.
See you at 17:00 CEST – click the time to see when that is in your timezone.
The stream will be broadcast on http://www.twitch.tv/jbernhardsson.
