Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition の販売本数が 2012 年の大晦日に 500 万本を越えたとか。全機種板の合計セールスは 1750 万本以上と、どれだけ売れてるのか良く分からなくなってきてますが、何だか今となっては 100 万本突破とかで騒いでた頃が懐かしいです。

Minecraft Xbox 360 バージョンの販売本数は着実に伸びているようだ。5月に発売し10月始めに400万本達成なので、ほぼ1ヶ月に100万本売れている計算になっている。さらに、PC版をプリペイドカード式で販売する新しい方法もできるそうで、プリペイドカードの輸入版などが日本で出回る可能性もある。 Xbox ユーザーが少なくクレジットカードの普及率も低い日本でこそ販売して欲しい気がする所。

今年の5月に配信が開始されて以来、着実にその記録を伸ばし、マイクロソフトが公開しているXbox LIVEアーケードタイトルの週間チャートでは、長きにわたりトップをキープし続けている本作。近々配信が予定されているアップデート1.8.2では機能面に充実が図られる予定で、今後も更に記録を伸ばし続ける事が予想されます。

また、PC版をダウンロード出来るプリペイドカードがリリースされる事をMojangが伝えており、米国の大手小売店Best Buy、Target、Walmartの店舗でオンライン購入と同価格となる26.95ドルの価格で販売されるそうです。

ちなみに現在（2012/7/23）の Minecraft.net の方の売り上げ統計は、600万本の購入者と3500万人のアカウント登録者がいるようだ。

少し前にXbox バージョンの Minecraft の売り上げが100万本突破という話を紹介したが、最近200万本まで売り上げを伸ばしているらしい。しかもXBLAの総利益額では最高記録を叩きだしたとか。
